Graham Stephan

Stephan married lifestyle creator Macy Savannah in 2024. The couple lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, having relocated from Southern California in mid-2020. Stephan purchased a four-bedroom home there for $1.44 million during the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving Los Angeles to be near friends and reduce his living expenses.

His father, David Stephan, worked as an animator, writer, and director at Walt Disney Animation Studios between 1981 and 1994. Stephan is also a car enthusiast; after receiving his first significant real estate commission, he purchased a 2006 Lotus Elise, and he later added a Tesla Model 3 to his collection.

Stephan struggled academically in high school and was denied admission to Pepperdine University. Instead of pursuing college, he obtained his real estate license at age 18 in 2008. To gain an edge in the Los Angeles housing market, he photographed properties for other agents and handled leasing assignments that senior brokers routinely passed up.

This work led to high-end sales, including an initial $3.6 million transaction in Beverly Hills. Stephan joined The Oppenheim Group in 2015, representing clients such as Orlando Bloom, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Suki Waterhouse. Over the course of his brokerage career, he closed more than $125 million in residential property transactions. He also began purchasing rental real estate in 2011, acquiring multiple units across Los Angeles and San Bernardino County.

Stephan launched his self-titled YouTube channel in December 2016. He used the platform to document his income, investments, frugal spending habits, and lessons learned from real estate. His breakdowns of monthly revenue and index fund strategies helped his main channel pass five million subscribers.

He expanded his media output with secondary channels, including The Graham Stephan Show and Graham Stephan After Hours. On these channels, he reacted to financial decisions made by other online personalities, such as PewDiePie and Pokimane. As his digital channels eclipsed his brokerage commissions, he left The Oppenheim Group in 2020 to focus entirely on online production. Stephan also co-founded Bankroll Coffee and created an online instructional program called The Real Estate Agent Academy.

Stephan faced scrutiny for commercial endorsements of fintech and cryptocurrency platforms. In March 2023, he was named as a defendant in a class-action lawsuit filed against several creators who had promoted the collapsed cryptocurrency exchange FTX. Stephan subsequently issued an apology video, stating he had traded on the platform himself and had not foreseen its failure. A federal judge dismissed several claims in the lawsuit in May 2025 while permitting amended complaints to proceed.

His promotion of the savings app Yotta also drew criticism after the 2024 collapse of financial intermediary Synapse froze customer funds. Stephan had previously described himself as an angel investor in Yotta and had published an announcement video titled "I Bought a Bank," which was later removed from his channel.
