Guy Fieri

Guy Fieri has been married to Lori Fieri since 1995. They have two sons, Hunter and Ryder, and live in Santa Rosa, California. Fieri also helped care for his nephew Jules after the death of his sister in 2011.

Born Guy Ramsay Ferry, he changed his surname to Fieri in honor of his paternal grandfather, Giuseppe Fieri, whose family name had been anglicized to Ferry after immigrating to the United States.

Fieri developed an interest in food and business during childhood. At age 10, he and his father built an "Awesome Pretzel" bicycle cart, and he sold pretzels to help finance a trip to France. At 16, he spent a year as a foreign exchange student in Chantilly, France, an experience that further developed his interest in cooking.

He worked in restaurants while attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel management in 1990. After graduating, he managed Parker's Lighthouse in Long Beach, California, and later became a district manager for Louise's Trattoria, overseeing six locations and helping with recruitment and training.

In 1996, Fieri and business partner Steve Gruber opened Johnny Garlic's, a California-style pasta grill in Santa Rosa. The business expanded to additional locations, and the pair later created Tex Wasabi's in 2003, combining Southern barbecue with California-style sushi.

Fieri expanded his restaurant brand with Guy's Burger Joint on Carnival Cruise Lines, Guy Fieri's Vegas Kitchen & Bar, Guy's American Kitchen and Bar in New York City, and Chicken Guy!, which he opened with Planet Hollywood founder Robert Earl at Disney Springs in 2018. In 2021, he launched Guy Fieri's Flavortown Kitchen, a delivery-only restaurant.

Fieri won the second season of The Next Food Network Star in 2006 after competing against more than 1,000 entrants. His victory led to Guy's Big Bite, his first Food Network series, which premiered in 2006.

His next major series, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, features Fieri traveling across the United States to visit independent eateries and highlight their food. He later hosted or co-hosted programs including Ultimate Recipe Showdown, Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, Guy's Grocery Games, and Guy's Family Road Trip. He also hosted NBC's Minute to Win It from 2010 to 2011.

Fieri has worked as a producer and actor as well as a host. His screen credits include The War with Grandpa, 80 for Brady, Happy Gilmore 2, and voice roles in The Great North and Robot Chicken: Self-Discovery Special.

Fieri has authored or co-authored several cookbooks, including Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives: An All-American Road Trip ... with Recipes!, Guy Fieri Food, Guy on Fire, and Guy Fieri Family Food. His cookbooks have collectively appeared on The New York Times bestseller lists for more than 33 weeks.

In 2009, he launched the Guy Fieri Roadshow, a touring food event that combined cooking demonstrations, music, and appearances by other Food Network personalities. He also helped create the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund during the COVID-19 pandemic, raising more than $20 million for restaurant workers. In 2023, he started Guy's Flavortown Tailgate, an annual Super Bowl weekend event featuring food, music, and festivities.

Fieri received a Daytime Emmy Award in 2013 for Guy Fieri's Family Reunion. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives received multiple Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Structured Reality Program, while Fieri earned additional recognition for his culinary and lifestyle hosting.

On May 22, 2019, Fieri received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for television.
