Jisoo

Kim Ji-soo grew up in Gunpo, South Korea, alongside an older brother and sister. During her childhood, she practiced taekwondo and played basketball while aspiring to become a writer and painter. She attended high school at the School of Performing Arts Seoul, where she joined a drama club during eleventh grade to build acting experience.

In 2011, she joined YG Entertainment as a trainee after passing auditions. Prior to her formal debut, she appeared in several promotional campaigns and music videos, including Epik High's 2014 video for "Spoiler + Happen Ending" and Hi Suhyun's "I'm Different." She also made a cameo appearance in the 2015 KBS2 television drama The Producers alongside labelmates Sandara Park and Kang Seung-yoon.

Jisoo officially debuted as a member of Blackpink on August 8, 2016, alongside Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. The quartet debuted with the single album Square One, featuring the chart-topping singles "Whistle" and "Boombayah." Blackpink rapidly achieved global prominence, signing a partnership deal with Interscope Records in 2018 for worldwide representation.

In addition to her vocal role, Jisoo contributed to songwriting for the group. She co-wrote the lyrics for "Lovesick Girls," the third single from Blackpink's 2020 release The Album, and contributed writing to "Yeah Yeah Yeah" from Born Pink in 2022. In November 2023, Jisoo and her bandmates were invested as Honorary Members of the Order of the British Empire by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace. While renewing group contracts with YG Entertainment in late 2023, the members chose not to renew individual management contracts with the agency.

Jisoo made her solo musical debut on March 31, 2023, releasing the single album Me, which featured the lead single "Flower" and the B-side "All Eyes on Me." Me debuted at number one on South Korea's Circle Album Chart and became the first album by a Korean female soloist to surpass one million sales in its first week. "Flower" peaked at number two on both the Circle Digital Chart and the Billboard Global 200, achieving record chart positions for a female Korean soloist on the UK Singles Chart and the Canadian Hot 100.

In February 2024, Jisoo established her independent label, Blissoo, to manage her individual activities. She subsequently signed a solo distribution partnership with Warner Records in early 2025 and released the EP Amortage on February 14, 2025. The EP's title track, "Earthquake," earned Jisoo her first number-one hit on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. Later that year, she collaborated with English singer Zayn on the single "Eyes Closed," which earned her a solo entry on the US Billboard Hot 100.

After co-hosting SBS's weekly music show Inkigayo alongside Got7's Jinyoung and NCT's Doyoung from 2017 to 2018, Jisoo made an acting cameo in the 2019 tvN fantasy drama Arthdal Chronicles. She secured her first leading television role in the JTBC period drama Snowdrop (2021-2022), playing college student Eun Yeong-ro opposite Jung Hae-in. The series became a streaming success across Asia on Disney+, earning Jisoo the Outstanding Korean Actress award at the 2022 Seoul International Drama Awards.

Following a brief cameo as a fairy in the 2023 film Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman, she starred as Kang Young-joo in the 2025 Coupang Play zombie comedy series Newtopia alongside Park Jeong-min. She made her feature film debut as Lee Ji-hye in the 2025 adaptation Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy, starring opposite Lee Min-ho, and later headlined the series Boyfriend on Demand.

Jisoo has built an extensive presence in luxury fashion, starting as a local beauty ambassador for Dior in 2019 before being appointed a global fashion and beauty ambassador in March 2021. Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri cited Jisoo as the key inspiration behind the house's Autumn/Winter 2021 collection, and the brand created signature cosmetic shades in her name. Her appearances at Paris Fashion Week consistently generated leading media impact values for the label.

In May 2022, Cartier announced Jisoo as a global brand ambassador and member of the Panthère de Cartier community. She later fronted the centenary campaign for the Cartier Trinity collection alongside Paul Mescal, Yara Shahidi, and Jackson Wang. In addition to high jewelry and fashion, she has fronted major international campaigns for brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Alo Yoga, Dyson, and Self-Portrait.
