Julie Tsirkin

Tsirkin attended Rutgers University-New Brunswick and initially pursued a path toward law, including pre-law coursework and preparation for the LSAT. During her senior year, she shifted her focus to journalism and broadcast media.

She graduated from Rutgers University's School of Communication and Information with a bachelor's degree. She also studied art history at John Cabot University in 2015. Her academic and student media experience helped prepare her for work in network news.

Tsirkin began her professional media career while studying at Rutgers, joining MSNBC as an intern during the 2016 election season. In 2017, she worked as an anchor producer before joining NBC News as a desk assistant in New York.

After graduating, she became a full-time producer at NBC's New York bureau at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. She was identified as the youngest full-time producer in that bureau at the time. In 2018, she joined MSNBC's election team, working on production and coordination for election coverage.
