Maluma

Susana Gómez and Maluma have been in a relationship since 2020. They welcomed their daughter, Paris, on March 9, 2024. In May 2026, the couple announced they were expecting a baby boy. He previously dated model Natalia Barulich between 2018 and 2019 after meeting on the set of the "Felices los 4" music video.

He is a Catholic who also embraces concepts from other faiths. Family remains central to his charitable work. In 2016, he established El Arte de Los Sueños in Medellín to support at-risk youth through singing and dance classes. His sister, Manuela Londoño, serves as the foundation's president.

Juan Luis Londoño Arias grew up in the Envigado neighborhood of Medellín. As a child, he devoted eight years to competitive soccer. He trained in the youth reserve divisions of Atlético Nacional and La Equidad. At age 10, his parents divorced, and he helped support the household by selling sweets and sandwiches at school.

Music soon pulled him away from sports. At age 15, he composed his first song, "No quiero", with a friend. For his sixteenth birthday, his uncle Juan Parra funded his first professional studio session. The experience convinced him to abandon soccer. He chose the moniker Maluma by combining the first two letters of his mother Marlli, his father Luis, and his sister Manuela.

He spent his final years of high school performing at local festivals, schools, and quinceañeras. In 2010, he signed with Sony Music Colombia after his single "Farandulera" gained traction on local radio stations. His debut studio album, Magia, followed in 2012. It earned a gold certification in Colombia and yielded his first Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.

His second album, Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy, arrived in late 2015. It debuted at the top of the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. The record contrasted soft romantic ballads with energetic reggaeton rhythms. Tracks such as "Borró Cassette", "El Perdedor", and "Sin Contrato" quickly entered the top ten of Billboard Hot Latin Songs.

The hits kept coming. In 2017, his single "Felices los 4" reached the top five on Hot Latin Songs, amassing over one billion views on YouTube. He released his third studio album, F.A.M.E., in May 2018. The title stood for "Faith, Alma, Music, Essence". It debuted at number 37 on the Billboard 200 and won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album.

He continued releasing full-length projects in rapid succession. In 2019, he released 11:11, followed by Papi Juancho in August 2020. The single "Hawái" spent nine consecutive weeks atop the Hot Latin Songs chart. A bilingual remix featuring The Weeknd pushed the track to number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. Later releases included the reggae-infused EP #7DJ (7 Días en Jamaica) in 2021, The Love & Sex Tape in 2022, and the 2023 album Don Juan.

Collaborations played a key role in his international expansion. In 2016, he partnered with Shakira on the hit "Chantaje". The pair teamed up again on "Clandestino" and "Trap". In 2018, he met Madonna backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards. Their conversation resulted in the 2019 duet "Medellín", followed by "Soltera" and "Bitch I'm Loca".

Acting soon followed. In 2021, he voiced Mariano Guzmán in Disney's animated feature Encanto, recording lines for both the English and Spanish releases. In 2022, he made his live-action feature debut in the romantic comedy Marry Me, playing pop star Bastian opposite Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson.

He also expanded into fashion. In 2021, he partnered with French fashion house Balmain on a Miami-inspired capsule collection. The following year, he launched his ready-to-wear clothing line, Royalty by Maluma, in partnership with Macy's.
