Kai Trump

Kai Madison Trump was born on May 12, 2007, in New York City. She is the eldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and his former wife Vanessa Trump. Her parents married in 2005 and divorced in 2019, agreeing to co-parent their five children. She has three younger brothers, Donald III, Tristan, and Spencer, and a younger sister named Chloe.

Her first name honors her maternal great-grandfather, Danish jazz musician Kai Ewans. When she was 13, the family relocated to Jupiter, Florida. She enrolled at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach County, graduating in May 2026.

Trump took up golf at age four. She developed her swing on Florida courses and played for The Benjamin School varsity team, serving as team captain in her sophomore year. She won the 2022 Women's Club Championship and the 2024 Ladies Club Championship at Trump International Palm Beach, playing with a competitive +0.5 handicap.

In March 2025, she played in the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley. Later that year, she accepted a sponsor exemption to make her LPGA Tour debut at The Annika in November 2025. She shot consecutive rounds of 83 and 75, missing the cut against a field of 108 professionals. In August 2024, she verbally committed to join the University of Miami Hurricanes women's golf team as part of its 2026 freshman class.

Introduced by her father, she delivered a short speech describing her personal relationship with her grandfather. She told delegates that he was just a normal grandfather who slipped her candy and soda when her parents were not looking.

The televised appearance immediately elevated her public profile. Commentators highlighted the address for softening Donald Trump's public image ahead of the November election. Following the speech, she stated that she had no interest in entering politics herself, choosing instead to focus entirely on competitive golf.

Her convention address triggered rapid growth across her social media accounts. Her Instagram following jumped from 125,000 to over 333,000 within weeks of the event. On YouTube, she began posting long-form vlogs detailing junior golf tournaments, training sessions, and family events.

She gained millions of views for a behind-the-scenes vlog recorded at Mar-a-Lago on election night in November 2024. Around the same time, she posted photos with Elon Musk, jokingly noting that he had attained uncle status within the family. Her digital reach led to commercial partnerships with brands such as Callaway Golf, TaylorMade, and Accelerator Active Energy, for whom she collaborated on a signature Blue Raz Slush energy drink.
