Chrishell Stause is an American actress and author known for playing Amanda Dillon on All My Children and Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives. She also became widely recognized as a real estate agent and cast member on the Netflix reality series Selling Sunset.

Personal life

Stause was engaged to actor Matthew Morrison from December 2006 to 2007. She married actor Justin Hartley in 2017, and their divorce was finalized in February 2021. She later dated dancer Keo Motsepe and Selling Sunset co-star Jason Oppenheim, with both relationships ending in 2021.

Stause began dating Australian musician Georgia Flipo, known professionally as G Flip, in March 2022. They married in Las Vegas in July 2022 and publicly shared news of the marriage in May 2023. Stause's parents died from lung cancer between 2019 and 2020, and her oldest sister, Shonda, appeared on several seasons of Selling Sunset.

Early life and education

Stause was born in Draffenville, Kentucky, as Terrina Chrishell Stause. She received a theater degree from Murray State University in 2003.

In her memoir Under Construction, Stause wrote about experiencing homelessness while growing up, including a period when she lived in a tent, washed her hair in a river and used food stamps. She also explained that her middle name came from circumstances surrounding her birth at a gas station while her mother was trying to reach a hospital. Her biological father was half Japanese and half Spanish.

All My Children and Days of Our Lives

Stause began her daytime television career as Amanda Dillon on ABC's All My Children, joining the series in 2005 and remaining with it until its cancellation in 2011. During this period, she also appeared in the independent films Scaring the Fish and The Crimson Mask.

She joined NBC's Days of Our Lives in 2013 as Jordan Ridgeway. After leaving the series in 2015, she returned to the role in 2019 and made additional guest appearances through 2023. Her performance earned a 2020 Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series.

Selling Sunset and reality television

In 2019, Stause joined the main cast of Netflix's Selling Sunset. The series follows agents at The Oppenheim Group as they sell luxury homes in Los Angeles, and it showcases Stause's work as a real estate agent.

Stause competed on season 29 of Dancing with the Stars with professional dancer Gleb Savchenko. She was eliminated in the eighth week and finished in eighth place. In 2022, she won the MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Reality Star for Selling Sunset. She later appeared as a contestant on season 3 of The Traitors.

Film, television and writing

Stause has appeared in television and film projects including Body of Proof, Mistresses, Youthful Daze, The Young and the Restless, Eve of Abduction and the Lifetime thriller Staged Killer. In 2023, she played Lori in A Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story and Zoe in You're Not Supposed to Be Here.

Her later credits include appearances in The L Word: Generation Q, Is It Cake?, Hot Frosty and the Australian soap opera Neighbours, where she played Yasmine Shields. She also received a writing credit for the television series Meanwhile... and wrote the memoir Under Construction.
